Social Contribution

Management of Yousu Holdings Yanghyun Foundation

Yousu Holdings established the Yanghyun Foundation and is striving to create value for the local community through social contribution activities.
The Yanghyun Foundation will actively engage in social contribution activities such as supporting academic and research activities related to shipping and logistics, providing scholarships for cultivating talents in the shipping industry, and offering medical and social welfare support for children with intractable diseases such as pediatric cancer.

Together with Yousu Holdings, Yousu Logistics plans to develop and operate various social contribution programs from a long-term perspective, leveraging the company's characteristics and expertise to address social issues.

Major Projects

  • 01 Shipping/Logistics/Marine Research Support Project
    We support academic research activities of institutions and organizations related to shipping, logistics, and marine, and aim to contribute to the development of the shipping industry by providing scholarships for schools and students related to shipping and logistics, fostering talented individuals who will lead the future of the industry.
  • 02 Medical Support Project
    We support art play therapy and psychological treatment to improve the health and emotional stability of children suffering from intractable diseases. We also aim to bring dreams and hope to struggling children through various activities such as developing an app for children with cancer, supporting the Wall of Hope project, and sponsoring cholera vaccinations in Nepal.
  • 03 Social Welfare Projects
    The Yanghyun Foundation supports welfare programs suitable for marginalized and underprivileged neighbors to create a warmer and more prosperous world. We will continue to practice a life of coexistence through programs such as rice-sharing volunteer activities, supporting cultural experience activities for children in social welfare facilities, and providing meals for children in need.
  • 04 Scholarship Support Projects
    In addition to scholarship support for the children of seafarers, we strive to provide opportunities for students with health disabilities, who have difficulty attending school due to long-term hospitalization from intractable diseases, to pursue their studies and dreams by supporting online class materials, psychological counseling and therapy, retreats, and literary creation competitions.
  • 05 Establishment and Support of the Yanghyun Art Prize
    The Yanghyun Art Prize, the first international art prize established in Korea, aims to foster global talent and contribute to the development of the Korean art scene by providing opportunities for mid-career artists, both domestic and international, whose works exhibit high artistic quality. The late Chairman Cho Soo-ho, known for his love of culture and the arts, emphasized the need for and support of nurturing talent in various arts and cultural fields. The Yanghyun Foundation seeks to practice the philosophy of social contribution and sharing through the establishment of the Yanghyun Art Prize.
